A dishwasher with means to vary the
HEAT TRANSMISSION TO THE ENVIRONMENT
DESCRIPTION
The invention refers to a dishwasher machine with a rack, which provides a storage space for the dishes, and with means to vary the heat transmission of the dishwasher to the environment.
WO 2009/021603 A1 describes a dishwashing machine of this type. Here, there may be multiple slats arranged next to a side wall of the dishwasher. The slats have a high heat dissipation, and can be turned from an closed position to an open position.
A dishwashing machine of this type has the disadvantage that slats take up a lot of space in their open position in comparison.
The present invention solves the technical problem of providing a dishwasher that allows to vary the heat transmission of the dishwasher to the environment in a particularly simple way.
This technical problem is solved by a dishwashing machine with the characteristics of the revindication 1. Advantageous configurations with other convenient developments of the invention are the object of the dependent claims.
The dishwashing machine according to the invention has a rack or bowl, which provides a storage space for the dishes. The means for varying the heat transmission of the dishwasher to the environment comprise at least one plate of an insulating material and an actuator for moving the plate. The actuator is configured to move the iron to a first position, in which the iron partially or completely covers at least one wall of the frame. In addition, the actuator is configured to move the iron along the wall to a second position, in which the iron is partially or completely removed from the wall.
The invention is based on the discovery that dishwasher machines
They must meet two different requirements during each program or wash cycle. During
a cycle washing time or period, it is advantageous that the walls that form the frame
are thermally insulated to maintain the temperature that has risen within the
frame. During a second part of the wash cycle, which is a drying period,

It is advantageous that the walls of the dishwasher have a high thermal conductivity, since this allows a good heat transmission from the dishwasher to the surroundings.
When the operating cycle or washing program of the dishwasher is finished, the dishes or dishes must be dried, which should be done quickly. However, insulating means that improve efficiency during the washing period have a negative effect on the drying period by prolonging the drying cycle. By placing the insulating material plate in front of the frame wall only during the washing period, and removing the insulating material plate during the drying period, greater efficiency can be achieved throughout the entire washing cycle or program. Also, the use of a continuous plate to cover the wall of the frame in the first position provides very good thermal insulation properties to the dishwasher when necessary.
However, the sheets of the thermally insulating material can be taken to the second position by means of the actuator, that is, they can be partially removed during the drying period. To achieve this, the actuator moves the plates along the frame walls. Therefore, when the plates are moved from the second position to the first position, and conversely, the plates move along the frame walls, which will be covered and not covered, respectively, by the plates.
Since the plates can be handled in a particularly simple way by means of the actuator, that is, by moving the plates to the first position and the second position, respectively, the dishwashing machine makes it possible to vary the heat transmission to the environment in a particularly simple way.
Accordingly, the means can improve the washing period and the drying period or the washing cycle and the drying cycle. Similarly, increasing the efficiency of one of the cycles does not cause the efficiency of the other cycle to decrease, but that heat dissipation or heat transmission may occur in accordance with the requirements applicable during the different periods of a program of Washing the dishwasher. Likewise, the mechanism comprising the plate with thermal insulation properties and the actuator makes the manufacturing process particularly easy.
In an advantageous embodiment, in the first position, the plate is partially or completely unwound from an axis and, in the second position, the plate is partially or completely wound on the axis. Such type of roller blind for

moving the plate to the first position and the second position, respectively, can be implemented particularly easily. Also, during the washing period, a good wall covering with the insulating material of the iron can be achieved and, during the drying period, the winding of the iron on the shaft leads to a heat transmission or heat dissipation particularly Good for the environment, since the iron can be completely removed from the wall.
It is possible to achieve that this is carried out particularly reliably if a final section of the plate is fixed to the shaft.
In another form of advantageous realization, the plate is part of a belt configured to rotate around at least two coils. In this configuration, greater thermal insulation can be achieved during the washing period by placing the part of the belt comprising the insulating material in front of the wall. However, in the second position, the plate of the thermally insulating material has a greater distance with respect to the wall and, therefore, is removed from it. This makes possible a better heat transmission from the wall to the environment.
Such a conveyor belt mechanism has the advantage that, regardless of the position of the plate with respect to the wall, the mechanism occupies the same amount of space. Therefore, it is particularly simple to provide a compact dishwashing machine that has the belt with the plate (s) of the insulating material.
Preferably, the belt comprises another plate of a material with a higher thermal conductivity than the thermally insulating material. This allows the placement of the highly thermally conductive material in front of the wall from which the heat will be transmitted to the environment, as well as the efficient dissipation of heat by the other plate during the drying period.
As an insulating material, in particular, a sheet composed of mineral wool, a fleece material, or an airgel can be used. Such materials do not have to be provided on a carrier material, but can be provided as a film or the like, which allow them to be unwound, rolled and driven as a conveyor belt. As a material with a high thermal conductivity a steel material can be used. If the plate of the thermally insulating material is part of a belt, the other plate with a higher thermal conductivity and the plate of insulating material can be joined by an adhesive, a tape, mechanical joints, or the like.

Preferably, in the first position, at least a part of the plate is closer to the frame wall than in the second position. Similarly, in the second position, at least a part of the other plate is closer to the frame wall than in the first position. The plate and the other plate can have essentially the same dimensions, which preferably correspond to the size of the wall or the walls to be covered. By means of such an arrangement, essentially complete coverage of the wall or walls to be covered by the thermally insulating plate and by the other thermally conductive plate and, therefore, a particularly high efficiency during the washing period can be achieved and the drying period, respectively.
Preferably, the shaft and / or the coils are arranged on at least one edge of the frame. This makes it possible for the wall or walls of the frame to be covered and discovered in a very simple manner, which will be isolated during the washing period and will effect a greater transmission of heat to the environment during the drying period.
This applies, in particular, if the length of the shaft and / or the coils essentially corresponds to the length of the wall that is covered or not covered by the plate of the insulating material.
Preferably, in the first position, the iron partially or completely covers a heat exchanger arranged on the frame wall. This heat exchanger is used during the drying period. When the hot and humid steam is transported from the housing space that contains the dishes to the heat exchanger, the humidity can be reduced by condensation of water in the heat exchanger. This improves the drying of the dishes during the drying period. During the washing period, the thermal differences between the hot water with a cleaning product used to wash the dishes and the clean running water used to rinse the dishes can be reduced by said heat exchanger. The advantages of the heat exchanger can be exploited to a large extent by being covered during the washing period by means of the insulating material plate and being discovered during the drying period.
If the heat exchanger is arranged on a side wall of the dishwasher machine frame, it is therefore advantageous to cover this side wall with the insulating material plate moved to the first position during the washing period. Similarly, it is particularly advantageous to remove the sheet of insulating material from the side wall during the drying period.

However, there are several walls that delimit the accommodation space for the dishes, which can be advantageously provided with the removable plate made of the insulating material. By way of example, the sheet of the insulating material can cover in the first position an upper wall of the frame partially or completely. Here, it is particularly easy to implement an implementation, and heat loss can be prevented very well as a result of its ascension by covering the upper wall with the iron. On the other hand, the transmission of heat to the environment is facilitated when the insulating material is removed from the upper wall during the drying period.
It is also particularly simple to provide the plate in such a way that it covers a rear wall in the first position and that it is removed from it in the second position. Also, the removable plate can be provided on a frame door. In this case, the mechanism moves together with the door while it opens and closes to close the storage space for the dishes.
Also, the side walls of the frame can be equipped with the thermally insulating material removable plate.
If a receptacle, such as a reservoir for washing liquid, is arranged on one of the side walls of the frame, notches or the like may be provided on the plate that allow the connection between said receptacle and the tank or the housing space of the dishwasher. If there is no deposit for washing liquid provided on the side wall of the frame, it will be particularly simple to arrange the removable plate of the insulating material next to this side wall.
It has also been shown that it is advantageous if the dishwasher has at least one glutton member configured to facilitate the movement of the plate of the insulating material to the first position and the second position, respectively. Such gluttony element may be formed as a protrusion that protrudes from a narrow side of the plate and that moves along a notch or the like. By means of such gluttony elements, the plate can be moved particularly easily to the first position, for example, unwound from the shaft, in particular, along more than one wall of the frame. As an example, a single plate can be unwound along a first side wall, the back wall, and the other side wall of the frame.
Finally, it has been shown that it is advantageous if the dishwasher has a control unit for operating the actuator depending on a washing period and a drying period of a dishwashing machine washing program. He

Actuator can be, for example, an electric motor configured to rotate the shaft and / or at least one coil. The control unit makes it possible to put the dishwasher into operation with great efficiency during the washing period, since the iron prevents heat loss towards the environment in its first position. Similarly, the control unit operates the actuator to remove the iron from the frame wall during the drying period in order to increase the heat transmission to the environment. Therefore, during the drying period the condensation of the moisture contained in the steam within the housing space for the dishes can be increased.
The characteristics and combinations of characteristics mentioned above in the description, as well as the characteristics and combinations of characteristics mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures are usable not only in the combination indicated in each case, but also in other combinations or individually, without abandoning the scope of the invention. Therefore, it should be understood that those implementations that are not explicitly shown in the figures or explained, but that can be extracted through combinations of features separate from the exposed implementations are also understood and disclosed by the invention.
Therefore, those forms of realization and combinations of features that do not have all the characteristics of an independent revindication originally drafted will also be considered as disclosed.
Other advantages, characteristics and details of the invention can be drawn from the claims, the following description of the preferred embodiments, as well as based on the drawings, in which the elements with analog functions are accompanied by the same reference symbols. Here, they show:

Figure 1 schematically shows a dishwashing machine 1, which has a frame 2 with a housing space 3 for the dishes. The accommodation space 3 is delimited by walls of the frame 2, that is, a first side wall 4, a second side wall 5, an upper wall 6, a rear wall 7, and a floor panel 8. In addition, the frame 2 it comprises a wall formed as a door (not shown), which may be, for example, hinged to the floor panel 8. The indications "upper", "floor", "rear", "lateral", and the like, refer to the positions and orientations of the dishwasher in its intended use position with respect to an observer located in front of the dishwasher and looking towards it.
The plates 9, 10 of a thermally insulating material are shown in a first position in Figure 1, in which the plates 9, 10 cover the outer surfaces of the side walls 4, 5 of the frame 2. The plates 9, 10 of insulating material thermally as, for example, mineral wool or rock wool, fleece material, or a flexible airgel, can be wound on a respective axis 11, 12 located next to rear edges of the frame 2. The first plate 9, which in the first position covers the right side wall 5, can be rolled up on the axis 11 and unwound from it. In the same way, the second plate 10 can be wound on the axis 12 and unwound from it. When the plates 9, 10 are wound on the axes 11, 12, the plates 9, 10 are moved to a second position (not shown), in which the plates 9, 10 are removed from the side walls 4, 5.
The plates 9, 10 are moved to the first position during a washing period of a washing program or cleaning program of the dishwasher 1 Asl, the transmission of heat to the environment of the dishwasher 1 is avoided or reduced by the plates 9, 10 during this washing period.
During the drying period or time of the washing program, the plates 9, 10 are wound on the respective axis 11, 12. This causes the heat transmission of the dishwasher 1 to the environment to increase and, therefore, the drying of the dishes contained in the housing space 3 is accelerated.
In Figure 1, an actuator 13 is shown schematically, for example, in the form of an electric motor. Such an actuator 13 can have a gear or the like to achieve a rotational movement of the axes 11, 12. In figure 1, only one actuator 13 is shown schematically. However, several actuators 13 can be provided to move the plates 9, 10 to the first position and the second position,

respectively. A control unit 14 of the dishwasher 1 controls the actuator 13 depending on the washing period and the drying period of the washing program.
The insulating material in the form of the plates 9, 10, which are formed as insulating curtains, can have protrusions extending from a narrow side 23 of the plates 9, 10, that is, extending in the direction of the axes 11 , 12. Such protrusions can guide the plate 9, 10 when it is moved to the first position shown in Figure 1 or to the second position, in which the side walls 4, 5 are not covered by the plates 9, 10. plates 9, 10 are shown by way of example to make possible the thermal insulation of the side walls 4, 5 of the frame 2. However, also the door, the upper wall 6, and the rear wall 7 can be provided with such means to vary the heat transmission of the dishwasher 1 to the surroundings. In addition, the insulating plate 9, 10 can be unwound around a part of the frame 2 greater than just one of the side walls 4, 5 or one of the other walls of the frame 2 mentioned above.
In Figure 2, it can be seen particularly well as the plates 9, 10 cover the side walls 4, 5 of the frame 2, when the actuator 13 has moved the plates 9, 10 along the side walls 4, 5 to the first position. If a heat exchanger is arranged next to one of the side walls 4, 5, it is particularly efficient to cover it during the washing period by means of the plate 9, 10 and leave it uncovered during the drying period. Likewise, insulating the upper wall 6 of the frame 2 temporarily is efficient to prevent heat loss from rising heat, that is, the heat rising upwards.
If the dishwashing machine 1 does not have a reservoir for washing liquid next to one of the side walls 4, 5, the placement of the mechanism comprising the plate 9, 10 and the axis 11, 12 next to this side wall 4, 5 is facilitated .
Figure 3 shows a variant of the dishwashing machine 1. The frame 2 again comprises the side walls 4, 5, the upper wall 6, the rear wall 7, the floor panel 8, and the door (not shown). Also here, all these walls may be equipped with the means to vary the heat transmission of the dishwasher 1 to the surroundings. In the variant of the dishwashing machine 1 shown in Figure 3, these means also comprise the plates 9, 10.
However, the sheets 9, 10 of the thermally insulating material are in this variant part of two belts 15, 16, which are shown arranged next to the side walls 4, 5

of the frame 2. By way of example, the first belt 15 is shown arranged next to the left side wall 4 in Figure 3, and the second belt 16 is shown next to the right side wall 5 in Figure 3. Each belt 15 , 16 comprises two coils 17, 18, 19, 20, for example, in the form of elongated cylinders that extend along the edges of the side walls 4, 5. The belts 15, 16, which are configured as conveyor belts , rotate around these coils 17, 18, 19, 20 if the actuator 13 (not shown in Figure 3) causes a rotational movement of at least one of the coils 17, 18, 19, 20 of each belt 15, 16. As an example, the belt 15 rotates around the two coils 17, 18 located next to the edges of the left side wall 4 in Figure 3, and the belt 16 rotates around the coils 19, 20 located next to the edges of the right side wall 5 in figure 3.
Each belt 15, 16 comprises another plate 21, 22 that has a greater thermal conductivity than the thermally insulating material of the plates 9, 10. In figure 3, a situation is shown in which the thermally insulating plate 10 is covering the wall lateral 4, while an air gap, the width of which corresponds to the thickness of the coils 17, 18, is present between the plate 10 and the other plate 21. This other plate 21 of a highly thermally conductive material such as The steel is moved to a position, in which the plate 21 covers the left side wall 4 in Figure 3 when the washing program of the dishwasher 1 reaches the drying period. In this position, the highly thermally conductive material of the plate 21 causes the heat transmission of the dishwasher 1 to the environment to increase.
Similarly, the thermally insulating plate 9 covers the right side wall 5 of Figure 3, while the thermally conductive plate 22 of the belt 16 is removed from the side wall 5. In this situation, the air gap between the plates 10, 21 and plates 9, 22, respectively, helps increase the insulating properties of the belts 15, 16.
The dishwashing machine 1 can also have the belts 15, 16 and the mechanism shown in Figures 1 and 2, in which the sheets 9, 10 of insulating material are unwound from and wound on the axes 11, 12. Despite not shown in FIG. 3, the dishwasher 1 also has at least one actuator 13 to move the belts 15, 16 and the control unit 14 to operate the actuator 13.
